snow depth in whole inches using three digits. For example,
a snow depth of 21 inches will be encoded as "4/021."

30 Hourly Encode the hourly temperature and dew point group to the X O
Temperature tenth of a degree Celsius in format, TsnT’T’T’snT’dT’dT’d,
and Dew Point where T is the group indicator, sn is the sign of the

temperature, T'T'T' is the temperature, and T'dT'dT'd is the
(METAR only) dew point. Encode the sign of temperature and dew point as 1
if the value is below 0°C and 0 if the value is 0°C or higher.
The temperature and dew point is reported in tens, units, and
tenths of degrees Celsius. There will be no spaces between

the entries. For example, a temperature of 2.6°C and dew
point of -1.5°C would be reported in the body of the report as
"03/M01" and the TsnT’T’T’snT’dT’dT’d group as

 T00261015". If dew point is missing report the temperature;
if the temperature is missing do not report the temperature/
 dew point group.
 31 6-Hourly Encode the 6-hourly maximum temperature group in format, O X O

Maximum 1snTxTxTx, where 1 is the group indicator, sn is the sign of
Temperature the temperature, TxTxTx is the maximum temperature in
tenths of degrees Celsius using three digits. Encode the sign
(See Note 2) of maximum temperature as 1 if the maximum temperature is

below 0°C and 0 if the maximum temperature is 0°C or
(METAR only) higher. For example, a maximum temperature of -2.1°C
would be encoded "11021"; 14.2°C would be encoded
 "10142."
